More about LFMC...

The Lexington Federated Music Club (LFMC) was organized in 1968 with the main purpose of promoting music in our local community, state and nation, with an emphasis on American music and musicians.  The local club provides many opportunities for its members:

  • monthly meetings from September through May presenting varied musical programs, with opportunities for performance;
  • local participation in National Federated Music Club Junior Festivals in which members and students may perform and receive written evaluations;
  • summer music camp scholarships;
  • two student recitals per year;
  • membership in the National Federated Music Club ( and Kentucky Federated Music Club;
  • opportunities to participate in designated NFMC, KFMC and LFMC competitions for members only;
  • a voice in the future of music in America's schools.

If you are a music-lover interested in joining LFMC, please contact Nancy Brown at 859-335-1398 for membership information.
